Drew Dudley, the former National Chair of Canada’s largest fundraiser for post-secondary students, immediately and unexpectedly shares with the crowd that hope is a lousy strategy. If we want to be leaders in this world, it takes planning; it takes more than being hopeful. Instead of assuming a task is ‘above’ you or out of reach, ask yourself: What would the person I want to be do in this situation? Drew explains that most people tremendously over-estimate their understanding of who it is they want to be.
